Description:  This study of Mark’s Gospel will be based on two sources, including “The Gospel of Mark” by Dr. Amy Levine, Vanderbilt Univ. distinguished Professor emeritus of N.T and Jewish Studies, with in-depth explanations of terms that have Hebrew and Greek origin, and a second source, “The Book of Mark…” by Evans and Richards which is written for beginners, with simplified terminology.

Mark, the first and shortest Gospel, is fast-paced and shows the purpose, passion, and power of Jesus as he amazes his followers with his teaching, healing, miracles, and compassion that inspired people at that time, and today. There are always take-home handouts you can keep.

This is a group of mostly senior adults and newcomers are always welcome!
